SLOreefer Posted April 19, 2002 Share Posted April 19, 2002 hey guys i have a question. my percula clown has a couple small black dots on him. is this an illness? he has never had these before but has just developed them. they are not raised bumps or anything but they are like his skin tone on the orange part of his body has like 3 dots. any ideas what this is or what cause it? if it is harmful how do i treat? Kai One Posted November 20, 2004 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Mine have that two, there are three "theories": 1) Black Spot Disease (I don't think so, but maybe.. read up on it) 2) Acclimating itself to hosting in corals, skin is getting used to corals and 3) (similar to 2) tank raised clownfish being stung by corals as it tries to host.
