pjtech
During my 7G bow initial tests I am getting a high of 80-81 with lights on (no fan installed) and a low of 75-76 with light off. Is this an ok range? Do I need to modify anything or are these temps acceptable? Tank will have 1 or 2 fish and hammer, shrooms, zoos, and a few other soft corals. Thanks Patjs Link to comment
fishbabies
i think you're doing better than most during the summer heatwave....those of us without chillers at least Link to comment
pjtech
Im in Dallas, so no stranger to heat. Apt stays at 70 so I guess im doing ok. But what is the highest temp and lowest temp you can have w/o any probs? Patjs Link to comment
Wasabi
I'm getting a 75-76(lights off) to 81-82(lights on) range on my tank and I was thinking about adding a heater to bring the low end up to about 80 to narrow the range some. I like this option better than an expensive chiller or installing a fan that would still not cool it off enough to narrow that range. From what I have read an 80 to 82 temp should be fine. fishbabies
in books i keep seeing 78 mentioned over and over.....in the nano-polls it looks like 80 is the average. using a heater to narrow the range sounds like a good plan (see above) personally....if i came home and saw that my thermometer read 84 and above or anything below 75, i would start to get worried Link to comment
