digitallinx Posted July 14, 2003 Share Posted July 14, 2003 just started my first refugium(always used a skimmer), my question is do i run a skimmer with the refuge or will it work and take care of the excess nutrients on it's own? i have a 10gal aga with 20lbs fiji premium and 20lbs of pink samoa fine sand in the main tank w/2x36 watt pc(10000k daylight & actinic 03) and 8lbs(4.5inches)of live arogonite in refuge with 3lbs of lr rock(will get macro algae this weekend)w/13 watt (bookworm).
