fishbabies Posted July 10, 2003 Share Posted July 10, 2003 yes....bubbles are part of the natural process....some people use something called the Monaco system to alleviate bubbles. you use something called a plenum to create an inch of dead water below your sand substrate. a plenum is basically a tight-fit wall-to-wall undergravel filter plate wrapped in fine mesh to prevent sand from falling through.
