Malteaser
Hi, This is my first post to this site! I have a 25 gal tank: 25 k live rock 3 powerheads giving approx 24x turnover per hour 3 tubes - 2 T8, 1 T5 various soft corals 4 small fish I have a constant battle with a noisy Tunze 210/3 skimmer - it surges ever few seconds in a very irritating way!! I am under the belief that I definitely need a skimmer but would like some ideas which is the quietest one to install internally or hang on. Many thanks Link to comment

panch
Where do you get a bubble driven skimmer? Do you mean venturi? Link to comment
AZDesertRat
With a bubble driven you still have an air pump which usually vibrates like crazy in the middle of the night. Although I must say the Rena brand pump I had last seemed to be pretty quiet. I have found the Prizm to be a quiet skimmer for small tanks. I have a CPR BakPak II, Seaclone, Skilter and Prizm all running on different tanks right now and it is the quietest of all of them. Link to comment
onthefly
Malteaser - Do a search for Piccolo ($40) or Lee's skimmers ($20). The Lee's is bigger, but some just posted a mod to cut it down. Both are small, can fit in a HOB, and are really quiet, air driven skimmers. Link to comment
