I only want a 1" bed in my 5 gallon hex and the 6lb package of this stuff sounds like the perfect amount. Circulation is from an Aquaclear 150 and a Micro-Jet 320 w/modified spraybar. Also, any extra that I have I'd like to put some in my Aquaclear HOB. Will it be OK in there with a little LR rubble and macro on top? I don't mind paying a little more to get any added benefits. We're only talking about $14. I'm also sitting on about 10lbs of Southdown sand that looks fine itself. Would the Kent Marine Biosediment offer more in terms or rejuvenating lost minerals?
