Glass canopy?

I'm thinking of getting the 20" Coralife aqualights from hellolights.com for my 10 gallon tank. But I'm just wondering if you guys use a glass canopy over your tanks... I would think I'd need a glass canopy so that my fish don't jump out. But I'm not sure.

I have a glass canopy over my 35g tank. It has about 1-2" of a gap in the back so it's not completely covered, that way some water can evaporate and I can have some gas exchange.

If you don't have a wood canopy for it then I would suggest using the glass over the top. That way your fish probably won't jump out and you won't splash your bulbs.

I did have a fish jump up through the gap and onto the glass a couple times, but I also have a wood canopy so it didn't jump on the floor.

That is one scary sound having your fish floping around in the middle of the night, it always found it's way back into the tank though.
