ch0ch
Is 300 gph to much flow for a 6.5 gal tank? If so are there any input setups I could use to make it well distributed... and if its not to much flow can i add a 50 gph power head? Link to comment
skeletor
kinda depends on how ya point it and what your tank rockwork looks like etc. if it's not blowing the sand around then it's probably ok. what do you mean by input setups ? -skeletor- Link to comment
Physh1
Dood. That is a lot of flow for a 6.5. I've got a lot less flow than that in my bow and sand still blows around. It does depend on your rock setup and what kind of corals you wish to keep. I do know that adding a 50gph powerhead will be overkill. If you want to use that powerhead I'd recommend a smaller hang on filter. Just my 2 pennies worth. Cameron Link to comment
ch0ch
i wish to keep mostly sps and clams just a few softies will go in there... and i plan on leaving small yet large enough openings (about 3) on the sand so i can place two clams and a brain... or i may jus make the whole thing in the shape of a volcano/cone Link to comment
