ch0ch
Im very interested in keeping a hawkfish... but im just not sure if it would work out in a nano... I have a 7 gallon nano with a 5.5 gallon sump/fuge... do you think this will work out? any hawk fish i can keep would be acceptable for me because i think they are all beautiful... any feedback would be great! Physh1
I would say no. They like a lot of room to cruise around and roam in. I've seen a few in nano's and they seen to get a little restless and jumpy. They are beautiful but probably best for something bigger. I think a 20 gallon would be ok for a minimum tank size.... Cameron Link to comment
maroonclown
Even if you can find one small enough, they often go after your prized shrimps! The smallest tank I'd go for is a 15gallon high. I just helped a kid I went to school with set-up a 15 high connected to a 25 gallon tank, and he put a longnosed hawk in the 15, away from the shrimps in the he put in the 25. Hope this helps Link to comment
