Whats in your filter?

Hi everyone

 

Newbie to the forum and my first post.

 

I have a JBL 24G Nano Cube for downsizing my existing 330l (87G) salt water aquarium.

 

What does everyone else use in there filter chambers?

 

I was going to fill chamber 1 with reef rubble, sourced from my existing tank, topped with half of one of the supplied sponges. I will alternate the sponge with the other half on the weekly water change. Chamber 2 will have a 12inch LED bar light on an alternate light cycle with some Chaeto Chaetomorpha macro algae. Chamber three will house a 50W heater and the stock return pump. (290GPH). Unfortunatly there is no room for a skimmer.

 

The main aquarium will have a Tunze stream on a wave maker set to almost minimum power installed with a night day mode in a deco rock (7000lph 1840 G max output may be a bit vicious on a 24g tank) This will top the circulation in the main tank to at least 20x

 

24Lb of Ultra grade Fiji rock and up to 30lb of live sand.

 

I would be interested to learn what works for you in your filter chamber.
