Picolo Skimmer in AQ300

Is there any value to using these from day 1,

even through the cycle? I was thinking of

placing one in my AQ300(150 prop) on

the back of my 7G bow.

It is not required on a tank that small. It might not even be helpfull. Stick with what works and save those greenbacks you just saved by NOT buying this and get yourself some more corals
