Korbin
Don't ever leave your xenia unattended. I left my tank to do its thing for a few months and look what happens. Bad xenia! BAD! October 2002: Link to comment
dickwayne
nice. Is that Red Sea Xenia? I'm waiting for mine to get like that. Link to comment
Korbin
I'm not sure what its called. Pom pom? It just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It does look VERY cool swaying in the breeze and pulsing though. Link to comment
sammy33
I had a similar occurence in my tank. That stuff is like reef Kudzu. Link to comment
Dustin
It has not spread though, just gotten bigger, is there a certain xenia that will do this? Link to comment
sammy33
I believe it is the Xenia elongata variety that I have. This stuff grows like crazy all over the place. Check out this thread http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...&threadid=12899 for more info. Link to comment
Korbin
Mine doesn't really spread. If the side of the stalk is touching a rock, it will eventually grow onto that rock. And it will leave a little bit of itself behind, but that usually dies off. Link to comment
floppyfish
Heh, consider yourself lucky. My before(its three frags in front of my clown) Link to comment
floppyfish
And after, granted this was 7-8 months ago, for the first pic and 5-6 months for the after. My tank looks nothing like this now. I had to rearange the rock to stop the spread of Xenia. Link to comment
floppyfish
It actually started to grow on the Halimeda! Crazy a$$ stuff. Beware, it is worse than hair algae. I sh*t you not. Man, I forgot how pretty my tank looked with all the Halimeda. I had a massive die off a few motnth's ago and its never recovered since:*( Link to comment
