Ideal clean up crew for a 10-20g nano-reef

Looking for input on the ideal CUC for a 12-20 gallon tank. Primarily LPS, softies, mushrooms etc. perhaps 2-3 fish.

 

I know the old rule of 1 member per gallon of water

 

thinking of a variety of snails, a fire shrimp, small brittle starfish...leaning away from crabs as Ive heard they tend to eat the snails
