You said off and on with the freshwater... One thing I can tell you is that saltwater will require a non-stop devotion. Going through an 'off' phase will usually cause a marine system to crash. If you know you can make a long term commitment, then here's a page with information to get you started

Sorry, misworded that. Been freshwater off and on for years. I was in the Air Force for 13 years. Get a tank going, 4 years later go to germany, come back get another tank 4 years later go back to germany, now I'm back, out of the Air Force and yes I have the time to be committed to a saltwater tank. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the info!

AAAaaaahhhh.... gotcha B)

What you'll hear a lot of, and I'm a strong believer in as well, is that you simply need to research like there's no tomorrow! There's endless information on the hobby on the web of course, as well as tons of really good books to utilize in libraries and bookstores. So just read a ton and you'll be all set! Of course we're always here for ya tho if you have any questions at all:happy:

BTW, may sound cheezy, but thanks for busting your ass for all those years to serve our country!!! Greatly appreciated!;)
