Jandree22 Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 hey, i wanna get some Nassarius snails to take care of the sand bed in my 10gal. The sand is a lil over 1" deep. First of all, how many should I get? There's already 5 Astrea(sp?) snails but they never leave the glass/rocks. Second, where should I buy them from?! My LFS doesn't carry them and everywhere I've looked online you need some kind of minimum order and/or you need to pay $20+ for shipping...do I have any other options? Thanks, Joel:) Link to comment
Yup Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 They are pretty small, so I put about 10 in my 7 gallon, and could probably go for a few more. Both my LFS carry them, ask yours, they may be able to order them for you. They are sand sifters, and will stay on/in the sand, or on the live rock. The usually make a trip up the glass during the day, but don't eat anything, I think they just like going up there to jump off the edge of the tank Link to comment
