sernger
This cotton algae is growing on my rocks. I dont' know what it is, and I dont' think it's very good. Could someone please tell me what this is and whether or not it's bad. It's described as a cotton 10mm thick layer with a filamentous appearance. Link to comment
sernger
I also have red fuzzy algae growing. Some guy said it's Frank Algae. It's spreading like wild fire, and it also grows on the parts of rocks where there's strong current. The sand has started to show some of it as well. Link to comment
Acoustic
It's a species of cladophora aka. Cotton Candy Algae: This hair algae is not a very tank friendly algae. Not very many inverts like to eat it. I have found out that there is a snail that will eat it. It is called a Mexican turbo grazer. Link to comment
