dickwayne Posted June 29, 2003 Share Posted June 29, 2003 I bought conch today from Aquatic warehouse. Has anyone else heard of a smooth shell conch? I put him in, left for an hour, and there was white sand all around when I came home. Maybe he'll help clear up my diatom problem. Link to comment
harbingerofthefish Posted June 29, 2003 Share Posted June 29, 2003 Are smooth shell conches fighting conches? I have 2 conches that both have the little spikes at the end of thier shell. I'm under the impression that they are either Queens or Atlantics. anyway, I had a hair algae problem like 6 months ago and I bought my first conch. In about a week all the hair was gone and my sand bed had been turned over completely. Best $8 snail there is IMO. Link to comment
dickwayne Posted June 29, 2003 Author Share Posted June 29, 2003 jpun, I live in San Deigo, so I bought it at the store. harbinger, I asked them for a fighting conch, but they said they didn't have any. The snail I have is longer than a fighting conch, and its shell is a greenish color. Mine is also the best $8 snail I everbought! Link to comment
