GobyInPeace
I am an experienced FW guy starting my first SW reef tank. (Click here for my tank specs). I am begining to do some research on corals, shrooms, etc... I know very little right now and figured this forum was a great place to ask for some help in pointing me in the right direction. What beginner stuff should I go with down the road? I want to start out by adding small frags and see where that takes me. I don't care much for leathers. Of course I want colorful stuff. I also want some that will flow with the water. I like Zoos as well. Are there any types of Anemones that I can keep? I have 130W VHO on a 20G. tank. Thanks for your input, -Spike Link to comment
Mnesarchus
Sounds like you've actually done some research, gj. Stay away from anemones if you want to keep corals too. I would get mushrooms and zoos first. Mushrooms are my favorite corals because you can get so many different colors and shapes and they are all easy as hell to keep. Definatley start with shrooms. Christopher Marks
Mushrooms, green star polyps, and button polyps/zoanthids are good corals to start out with. They're hardy and colorful. If you haven't yet read the beginners article's, http://www.nano-reef.com/articles/?category=1 Link to comment
