kailkaitan
what's the difference between dkh and kh? what's the difference between alkalinity and salinity and specific gravity? Thanx Link to comment
tinyreef
this is a good link to defining pH and alk. www.amdareef.com/ho_chem1.htm it'll explain dkh and kh too. specific gravity is the "the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of some substance (as pure water) taken as a standard when both densities are obtained by weighing in air" (webster's dictionary). salinity is saltiness (basically). ah, you know what mean. salinity and specific gravity are usually used interchangebly but like the alk and dkh, this is not always the case. hth Link to comment
