sloombee
How much light would be needed for the LS and LR just begin the cycle? Link to comment
sloombee
The life that is in the LS and LR doesn't require any? Does the lighting affect the cycling? Link to comment
Dennis_said
Some people will want to put on some light, but even then, they would acclimate slowly to not shock the system I believe... but yeah, soemtimes the life on the rocks will need some light... but not as much as your corals and other things will later on. sloombee
What about the lighting that comes with the basic eclipse hood? Do you think tha would be enough for the LV and LS? Link to comment
cuteios
I think it would be a good idea to have some light on the tank while it's cycling. After your initial die off the remaining organisms are going to need a bit of illumination to begin regrowing. I think this is especially true of the coraline algae. You should also check if you have other organism on your LR that would really need the light. sometimes get freebies like coral frags on the lr when you buy it. Generally the case when you buy non-cured LR. Link to comment
