kribbz Posted June 21, 2003 Share Posted June 21, 2003 hey this is my first post here i've been a member of reefcentral and aquarium advice for about 1.5 yrs now. i started with a 20 gallon salt and quickly moved to a 65 gallon b/c it was a little more forgiving for a newb such as myself. my current 65 is a DSB with about a 1lb of LR as filtration. but since i want to try a nano reef also i don't want to have the large sand bed that takes up a major portion of the display tank. so i was wonder if anyone had ever used an ecosystem as filtration for their nano. i have tossed the idea around for sometime now and can't decide if i want to try it or not. if i would do it it would be on either a 10 or 7 gallon display tank and the eco would be homemade from a 5 gallon tank. so could anyone give me any pros or cons to using this method or if this type of filtration doesn't work on a nano tell me just to forget it. your help is appreciated. kyle Link to comment
