Metznreef
my GSP used to be gorgous but now they dont seem to want to open any more. the only corals near them are xenia and shrooms. they have always been fine in this place before. all my other corals look fine. water checks out great. could the bulb in my smartlight be getting old or something? it's probably like 11 months old now. it may be time to get a new one. any other suggestions? TIA, Josh Link to comment
tinyreef
i think you're on the right track. 11 mos. is around the limit to push pc's before significant light spectrum shift/deterioation starts occurring. gsp's seem to thrive with the fresh actinics ime. i assume your wc's or filtration methods have stayed the same. so that should point you toward the bulb or maybe an irritant (newcomer?). Masoch
My sea mat was getting schwacked by a sinularia (now in a new home). All was well for a few weeks, then it started going downhill. With the sinularia gone, it's coming back. Chemical warfare's a nasty biyatch ... with some leathers, although pretty, packing a vicious punch. Ahhh, otherwise, check the lights;) Link to comment
