JustKeepSwimming
Hi! I am in the process of setting up a 120g reef and was wondering how my metal halide light is going to fit in the canopy of the stand. How does the wood canopy sit on the top of the tank? Will the legs from the mounting kit of the MH get in the way? How do you guys do it? Thanks! Link to comment
reefone
i have pfo mini pendants that hang from the canopy and the canopy rests on the frame of the aquarium. Link to comment

JustKeepSwimming
Thanks for the picture! I like the way you have yours. I am getting a Outer Orbit MH which is 15" wide. I guess it will work hanging from the canopy? Does the Outer Orbit come with a hanging kit? Is that what you used? That's alot of questions! Thanks! Link to comment
filefish949
get them as high as you can.. 12" from lamp to water is what you want to shoot for. 120 is a bit of a #####, because 2 X 250 will leave a dark center and 3 X 150/175, won't quite reach the botom for sps, unless you go with 10k and VHO actenics Link to comment
