stumpy Posted June 20, 2003 Share Posted June 20, 2003 Hello Everyone, Its the pain in the a#$ again I have another question . I put live sand in my tank about 2 weeks ago . I just put in lr about 3 days ago all my readings are good exept the nitrate. I was just wondering if this is the end of my cycle or do i have to wait untill the lr cycles as well ? Crakeur Posted June 20, 2003 Share Posted June 20, 2003 the live rock should cause a cycle of it's own, depending on the amount of rock and the amount of die off it might suffer. did you buy the rock online or pick it up locally? If you picked it up locally, the die off might not be that bad. I'm almost finished with week two of my cycle and last I checked ammonia was still thru the roof and nitrites were moderately high. testing again tonight Link to comment
