Abruptly Changing Fish Food . . .

I'd like to give my two Tomato Clowns a different food . . . Their diet has consisted strictly of Cyclopeeze for the past year, and I'd like to try a different (cheaper) brine shrimp mix.

Anything that I need to be aware of prior to switching their diet abruptly? I know with my German Shepherd and with most dogs, abrupt changes in their diet can mess them up hard.

Thanks.

You should be fine - You will see if they don't like the different food, then just switch over.

I would probably try mixing a little of both for the first few days, to let them get used to it.

Why have you been feeding them cyclopeeze for so long?

Do they not like flake?

Are you looking to feed dry (flake/pellets) or frozen/live?

I feed a mix of flake, pellet, nori, frozen cubes, fresh (on occasion), and frozen custom food ... (brine, mysis, mysids, clam, shrimp, garlic, cycopeeze, selcon etc.) Great stuff.

i switch out my fish food every day, flake, marine s, mysis. repeat. no issues here

I agree with Caps. I usually just feed pellets for a couple feedings, flake, and then the treat is frozen Reef Complete. They seem to like the variety
