jjharrisx4 Posted June 13, 2003 Share Posted June 13, 2003 Hi all...I recently moved into a different house, and when I moved my tanks I upgraded the 15g into a 20g. Of course that means upgraded lighting as well. I planned on using the 2x36w PC I already had, and adding a 1x55 PC that I had sitting on a shelf. The problem is, the ballast for the 2x36 was kinda rusty. I bought a new ballast (workhorse5) and now have a new dilemna. I can have the 1x55 and 2x36 combo, or just have 3x55w lights. I have bulbs for both ways. I'm thinking I'll just use the 2x36 + 1x55 for a while, until it's time to replace the 36w bulbs and then just go for the 55w bulbs. That should be enough for about anything I would think 165w over a 20g...thats like 8+w/g. Cool! By the way, for those of you who use 55w pc bulbs, www.petsupplyliquidator.com is having a sale. 5 bulbs for 60.00. You can mix n match color temps too. Ya gotta love that Link to comment
