WorldNation Posted June 12, 2003 Share Posted June 12, 2003 k, this might sound stupid, but yeh. i got my open brain coral, about 5 days ago. and over the time, its bene opening up a lil, but today, it looks like it has doubled in size. its huge! bulging out in every direction. lol. like it really looks like it doubled in size it was big at the store, but man, i dont think it was this big. does it sound like anythings wrong with it? or is that norama? or any ides? i'm stumped. this is my favorite coral, its was the size of a softball when i got it, not its the size of a small chicken....literally...lol i hope this isnt anything to worry about. plz reply asap if u know whats going on Link to comment

jjharrisx4 Posted June 13, 2003 Share Posted June 13, 2003 Here's a photo of my swollen brain...This one was over halfway dead when I bought it for 3.00 about 3.5 years ago. Now It has grown 2 new corals from the dead area and is about 10" across when fully engorged. This is one of my favorite corals. I now have it in a 100g tank under 4x55w PC and 2x250 MH.
