But when I need to get additional lighting - www.HelloLights.com is where I'm going!!!

 

I contacted HL by email yesterday afternoon requesting info on light setups for a particular tank of mine. Within an hour or so I had a reply from HL recommending a certain ballast and other products of theirs. Plus they wanted to know if I could send some pics of the tank in question.... So I took the time to snap a number of pic's with my digi. Off they go.

 

Not too long later I get this reply:

 

Hmmm, I don't think the nano ballast I showed you earlier would be a good fit.  That plastic is pretty thin, and it looks like high levels of humidity are in that hood.

 

I don't think you will have any luck with any of the items we  

sell, if you want to keep the stock look.  You'll probably need to  

build a new canopy in order to use any of our lights.  I wish I  

had better options for you, but in all honesty, I don't see  

anything we carry as a good option for your tank's goals.

 

If you build a canopy, we'd be ableto help you with a CF retrofit  

kit.  But, even with what we could offer, you'd be limited to  

lower light corals (mushrooms, polyps, etc.).

How great is that! He nailed the humidity issue I have just by looking at the tank lid. Then proceeds to basically tell me "No you can't buy stuff here! I won't let you! You won't be happy!".

 

Stuff like this tells you a lot about a fellow and his business. Brian has earned my respect. Thanks Brian.
