Vincerama
OK, so I hear that logging your readings is a good idea. I agree! So what should I test/log? I guess for the cycle, it should be Amonnia, Nitrtite and nitrate. Then after that? Does anyone have a handy dandy spreadsheet that they use? (I'm guessing it would be simple with like a couple of columns advancing by day/week) Not that a spreadsheet is any more usefull than a log book, but you could graph the spikes, which would be (geeky) cool! tinyreef
even a calendar would do, as long as you keep good notes. many a time i've backtracked an issue on my log and found (subsequently solved) a problem. every tank i setup for myself i print out a calendar (lotus organizer) and start. i usually develop a schedule of dosings or maintenance and preprint them into the latter calendar months. i know some peeps digitize them and that's actually how i started getting interested with reefing on the net.
