20 Gallon Hex Reef

I have a 20 gallon hex tank that's sitting empty. What do you think about making it a reef? some problems I've come with are:

 

1) Small footprint so not much surface area for live sand.

2) Not many lighting options. The top of the tank is only like 16 inches across.

3) Too deep for PC lighting. I think this leaves me with the only option of metal halide lighting.

4) Due to the small footprint it would be hard to stack rock.

 

Anyone have any ideas? Maybe I should just sell it.

I think itd be cool. But yes, MH is the best lighting option.

I would go for it.

How is your other tank doing? ALready ready for another!

I say give the 20 a go.

I didn't have the time to resize this, but here is a shot. It's a 20 hex with a 28 watt hello lights 50/50, and a remora skimmer. It's been up and running 2 1/2 years. Two tomato clowns and a peppermint shrimp. I moved most of the coral to my 58, a year and a half ago.
