Moadster
Took a little trip to Home Depot today to pick up some supplies to make a refugium light for my 28g Nano Cube. In case you were wondering here is a parts list for it with part numbers. 762148514558 - 14w 6500k compact flourescent bulb $4.97 078477839591 - Weather proof light socket $3.27 034481207573 - 1 1/4" plastic conduit box $4.33 756847000276 - 8 ft. Power tool cord $5.97 075967900755 - Velcro tape $2.46 033656304505 - Aluminum foil tape $2.27 All these components make for a very nicely assembled light. The only modifications I made to the box was to cut off the side outlet a bit so it could fit between the tank and my wall. I then surrounded the inside of the box with reflective aluminum tape. The weatherproof light socket fit almost perfect into the bottom of the conduit box, I just hot glued it after I had it where I wanted it. Then I just soldered my power cord to the light socket wire leads, shrink wrapped the connections and viola! I guess you can say that I'm pretty excited to start cycling my tank, I have done all this and I don't even have a drop of saltwater in it yet! All my LR, LS, and the rest of my equip is coming tomorrow! I'm going to be a happy man when UPS and FED EX show up. Link to comment
