How to layer my Subsrate?

Hello Everyone

 

I just ordered two 20lbs of Carib-Sea substrate. They send me 2 different types Fiji Pink and Reef Sand. Fiji pink is a lot finer then the reef sand. How should i layer it in my 25 Gal Flat back aquarium? Should i use the Reef sand first a cover it with Fiji Pink or the other way around? Fiji on the bottom?

 

I also ordered some mineral mud for my refugium, can i mix fiji pink and mineral mud? or should i have it separate?.

In my tank I put the course sand in first and the finer sand in second. They are seperated by a fiberglass screen so the course sand doesn't rise to the top.
