NanoJrFL
Is 96W over a 12 Gallon tank too much light? I plan on getting the Aqualite Corallife 96W Quad. Link to comment
Jahkaya
Come on! you know the answer to that! You can never have enough light, just too much heat. Throw a 250 MH on that puppy, acclimate the corals and stand back and watch it grow!! Seriously, though, I think that the 96 watt Quad is the best PC for a 10-12 gallon. That will be just right for any Coral. The only thing better would be a 2x65, but that would not fit over the tank exactly, about 4 inches too long. You can't do the dawn/dusk feature with the 96 watt. That seems to be the only drawback. Good Choice! Link to comment
myelin
I plan on using the retrofit for my Eclipse 12 gallon. What is the dawn/dusk feature? Are you referring to having just the actinic bulb on? If you can't use that "feature," then I am sure you could rig up some sort of LED gizmo to simulate dawn/dusk, right? Link to comment
kimura
Yes the dawn/dusk is usually having the actinics on before and after the daylight. Link to comment
