Clearmax?

Has anyone used Fluval Clearmax before? Formerly Phos-X. I'm trying to figure out if it's going to be a good match for my reef tank. It says it's safe ,but it also says to use with caution around inverts for an unspecified reason. What do you guys think... safe, unsafe?
