Drilling Tank

I am just about ready to set up my first marine/reef tank ( 25 gallon high 24x12x20) and was wondering if I would be be advisable to have the the tank drilled for a future sump. If so where would I have it drilled and how would I plug it off untill I was ready to go with the sump?
