Dennis_said
What a refugium does? How it works and what not? I'm totally lost on it... and I've read a few posts here, and I'm still lost! Does having a fuge mean, no need for my rio50 and rio90 PHs? Or do they work in conjunction? I have a 10g tank, not even set up yet, but will have... just wondering about getting the most out of my aquarium Thanks! Link to comment
JIM27
Refugims do a few things. They add to the water volume making a more stable tank. They provide a place to grow macroalgae that reduce nitrates as well as compete with nusance algae in the main tank. They're also a safe place for pods and stuff to grow which can provide food for your fish if you have a gravity return. There may be more advantages but its late and I'm too tired to think right now. lol Link to comment
