wingsfan Posted June 6, 2003 Share Posted June 6, 2003 i have two 20gal longs, i am gonna set one up as the main and the other as a sump/fug. anyone have any suggestions as to weather i should have the sump or the fug first on the inlet side? andalso any suggestions on how you would devide the tank would be appreciated.The tanks are 12in high, 12in. front to back and 30 in. long Link to comment

FlyGTI Posted June 6, 2003 Share Posted June 6, 2003 I think I would suggest putting the fuge on the inlet side. When that nutrient rich water comes out of the tank and into the fuge, those organisms can use those nutrients. If it comes into the sump first and gets chemically cleaned out or what have you, the plants and animals in the fuge can't use it. Who else has some ideas here? Link to comment
