Deimos Posted June 3, 2003 Share Posted June 3, 2003 The amount of LR is a mostly aestethic choice. Cram it in til you can't cram no more is my philosophy...as the LR is going to be your main filter. Beyond that...just make it look "good", whatever that is to you. The general rule is 1-1.5lbs/gallon...but you could certainly put 2-3 lbs/gallon depending on the density of the rock you're using (Caribbean is usually much more dense than Indo-Pacific rock).
