jtown
As summer is now here, my tank blazes during the day. I was doing some research I remembered seeing some computer guys that overclock their processors using water cooling. These kits would be perfect for our small tanks ... I just did a quick search and found this http://www.rbmods.com/rbmods/Articles/Dang.../Waterkit/1.php now to find a decently priced one. Link to comment
jtown
Would this work as a chiller? Pump from tank to radiator. Peltier on radiator. Heatsink on peltier. Fan on heatsink. Line back to tank. Is it ok to put a peltier on the radiator itself or do you think ice will form? The reason I ask is because I just realized that without the peltier, you can't get lower than the ambient temp. Jahkaya
What is your highest temperature? It may be easier to go with an Ice probe. Link to comment
Pikelet
What's the cost? How is it controlled? Are the internal parts of the radiator and pump designed to handle salt water? Is there anything in the components toxic to reef animals? Link to comment
DAP
I thought of doing somethig similar, but all of the radiators and blocks I found had copper as part of their material. I ended up going with a 6" clip on fan, blowing across my sump. I have the fan on a timer to matched to my MH timer. Link to comment
