suggestions for a crabless crew

I have a 20g, with one Cherub angel, and around 18 astrea snails.

 

I DO NOT want to add hermits or emeralds to this tank.

 

I just got my Cherub, and I only feed once a day.

Is this OK?

 

He does miss some of the flakes, so its time to add something to clean up the missed food.

 

I might add one more fish down the road, not 100% yet.

 

I was thinking some type of shrimp and/or some nassarius snails.

Will Nassarius snails eat uneaten flakes?

Nassarius, from what I've seen, don't really like flake but mow down frozen food (as in chopped up shrimp).

 

But, here goes:

 

trochus snails;

nerite snails;

cerith snails;

1 fighting conch (no more, they get big).

 

Other than the conch, add 2 or 3 of each, keep an eye on what they eat (they're all a bit different), and add more as needed. Skip the turbos and astreas (astreas can't right themselves when the flip, and turbos can move stuff).

I had a sandsifting cucumber that was slated to go in this tank, but I gave him away because someone (not on this board) said he would die of starvation since my sand bed is so small.

 

You really think it would be ok? I gave it to a friend, I might be able to get him back.
