HogWinslow
I have extremely well cured Figi rock. I say this because there are no hitch hikers on it except for " Pods " and bad anenomes. But, after 6 weeks there are finaly some little red things growing on it. They look like the tip of a red felt tip pen. Different degrees of red but about the same size and fuzzy. Please tell me these are something great. They are to small to get a picture of. Hog Link to comment
chufa
you are probably starting some coralline algae growth. That is good. Eventually, your entire rock should turn various shades of red and purple. Am I interpreting this correctly? Link to comment
Kendra
I think what you are describing are foraminaferans. Check out HItchhiker faq. It is a very good page for incidental organisms that come with your rock. Link to comment
