Crakeur Posted May 30, 2003 Share Posted May 30, 2003 your nitrate and nitrite levels can be controlled by not over feeding, doing regular waterchanges and by allowing the tank to fully cycle to start it up. the refugium is a nice addition but, by no means, is it necessary. Personally, I think I saw more benefit from the food it povided to my main tank (7 gallon). I almost never fed the tank, other than some phyto once in a while. Link to comment
