CeeTee
Should the SG of the replacement water match that of the tank water or should it be different? Link to comment
Mnesarchus
For waterchanges, it should be exactly the same. For top-off, it should be just water, no salt. Link to comment
skeletor
Hey CeeTee, It kinda depends on what your target SG is, and how far off that your tank is. You don't want to change it by a large amount in a short period of time, so slowly bring the tank to your target and match your WC water to that. I usually check the tank just before doing a WC and tweak the new water to match what I need to get to the target. I mix my new water just above my target.. YMMV.. skeletor. Link to comment
