moab44 Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 One of my Asteria snails has left his shell. Have of the shell has gone white. I saw him climbing on the live rock. Is this normal to leave their shell? Will it live outside of the shell? Should I leave the old shell in the tank? There are no new shells for him to live in. Lots of questions. Link to comment

c est ma Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 I believe this is basically unheard of. Perhaps you have a Stomatella hitchhiker, or something, that you mistook for the Astraea. If the Astraea's shell is empty, it is no doubt deceased and already consumed by your other CUC members. --Diane Link to comment
