er1c_the_reefer
i'm running a jbj 1/5 chiller. with summer heat, its been on more often, but now i'm noticing that for the past few days the pull down rate has gone down the crapper... like 0.2 degrees per hour. i figure its either because its out of refridgerant (r-134a) or its clogged. i'm guessing and hoping its the refridgerant since the chiller is about a year old. the question is... how do i recharge it? Phixion
That i can't tell you... =/ Email JBJ to see what they think. If you want to test the water flow, just put the return like into a container to see how fast or slow it's coming out that end. My 1/20th seems to pull down good still, but of course takes longer depending on how hot the ambient temps are. Yesterday I came home to my apartment at 92F, and the chiller chilling away!
