My nitrates are high, and mine will shred 1-3 times a month (bloodshrimp), but I think he was shredding from all the lancefish I fed him. lol. Big, Fat shrimp! When do I eat him? lol I usualy see the exoskeleton in the mornin (he sheds at night), so I take it out. No use in having something spike your chemicals. I doubt it would spike anything though.
