Crab trap alternatives?

Hi all,

 

I found a small crab riding along with a new piece of LR I got. It's about 1/2", hairy legged, and has black-tipped claws. This seems to suggest it's a "bad" kind.

 

I'd like to get it out of there without killing it, so I built a DIY crab trap out of a soda bottle. The first night I caught two hermits, and the second night I caught a nassarius snail, so apparently the trap works, it's just not trapping the right critter.

 

I've been using mysis as bait. Is there anything better that these crabs can't resist?

 

Is there an alternative way to trap them that won't snare my CUC?

Edit: BTW, I have tried a FW dip for the rock, but all that did was kill a lot of pods. The crab didn't budge.
