dcallen
Hi everyone, I have just recently setup a 10 gallon nano-reef system it's got the Eclipse canopy which looking back was definitely not the best way to go as I have restrictions with it. Having said that I'm having problems with heat, it's getting to around 82 degrees in the tank which in my mind is a bit too high. I would like it at no more than 80 degrees and preferably at 78-79 degrees. Does anyone know of an easy low cost way to regulate the heat for this type of system? Thanks for any input. c_k_kuehne
I don't see 82 degrees as being a problem as long as it's a stable 82. I keep my main reef at 82 on purpose. It's just easier to maintain a stable 82 then it is to try and get it down to 80 and keep it that low. Biggest problems w/ heat are flucuations and temps 85-86 and above. But to answer your question --- Some people find leaving the lid slightly cracked open helps. Installing a small muffin fan blowing into the hood would most likely solve your problem. Link to comment
