Jimbo205
In the book by Christopher R. Brightwell - The Nano Reef Handbook, he refers to Paper Bubble Shell Snails (Bulla sp.). I can't find ANYTHING on these ANYWHERE on the internet. WHAT ARE THESE????????? And where can you find them? (on the internet or elsewhere). Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I do appreciate it. Jimbo205 Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
Look up Headshield slugs- they are in the same family. I think the one you are talking about is the common name for Bulla Striata, but I'm not for certain. They have a funny shaped head for burrowing through the sand. Link to comment
Jimbo205
Thank you. Part of me thinks that it does matter which salt water snails I start my tank with, and part of me just wants to start period. I have a 20 Gallon Tall tank with 4 inches of Seachem Meridian and Seachem Graycoast with Kent 'mud' underneath to eventually grow salt water plants in with. The water volume is about 1.5 the amount in a 10 Gallon tank with a glass bottom. One of the three books I have read basically made it sound like I should start with 10 snails and 4 hermit crabs. Part of me figured I could get 5 different types of snails and get 2 of each. What do you think? Do you think it matters if I find the 'Paper Bubble Snails (Bulla sp.)' or not? Thank you again for your feedback and help with this. Jimbo205 Albany, NY Link to comment
