basa90
How do you keep the temp down? I have a 1.66g Hex and unless I leave the top off(and no light) It wont go below 86-88f!!! Do I have to lower the room temp since I cant fit a fan in the light fixture? Link to comment
tinyreef
a deskfan is the cheapest and simplest solution. one of those small novelty desk fans is good if the noise level is intolerable. another option i've been using lately is a cpu cooler: basically a heat sink with an oversized muffin fan on top of it. some recent posts on the subject in the diy pointed out that i forgot to mention the units i use don't use the regular cpu fan. basically the fan i use is for the entire computer housing but i strap it onto the heat sink. this option works best for glass tanks due to the better insulative properties of acrylic. hth Link to comment
